ECUADOR: A BRIEF HISTORY
So for starters, I had a lot of difficulty finding a topic for the book. I ultimately resorted to looking back on my own cultural roots and decided to do it on my country, Ecuador. It was hard to decide what aspect of Ecuador to emphasize on the book cover.
From the start I knew that I did not want it to be all over the place like a travel brochure, but take a more focused approach. I narrowed my choices down to either focusing on the "Mitad Del Mundo," or the Incan roots. I took the Incan approach. The first thing that came to mind was the Indigenous textiles, so I scoured the internet for inspiration.
